Redmi K100 series leaks have begun surfacing ahead of an expected launch, with early reports pointing to significant camera and chipset upgrades in Xiaomi’s next flagship lineup. According to a tipster, the company may introduce advanced imaging hardware, including a possible 200-megapixel camera and a periscope telephoto lens, marking a notable step up from the current generation.
The Redmi K100 range is tipped to debut with two models initially—the standard Redmi K100 and the Redmi K100 Pro Max—following last year’s K90 and K90 Pro Max strategy. If the rumoured 200-megapixel sensor makes it to production, it is likely to be exclusive to the Pro Max variant, although it remains unclear whether it will serve as the primary camera or power a high-zoom periscope unit.
For context, the Redmi K90 features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The K90 Pro Max upgrades this arrangement with a 50-megapixel periscope lens and a higher-resolution ultra-wide sensor, setting expectations for further refinement in the K100 series.

The leak also hints at next-generation Qualcomm chipsets. The Redmi K100 is reportedly expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, while the K100 Pro Max could debut with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, positioning the lineup firmly in the premium flagship segment.
Globally, the Redmi K100 Pro Max is said to follow the same rebranding path as its predecessor. The Redmi K90 Pro Max was launched outside China as the Poco F8 Ultra, and a similar move could see the K100 Pro Max arrive internationally as the Poco F9 Ultra. If confirmed, it would become Poco’s first smartphone to feature a 200-megapixel camera.
The Poco F9 series is currently expected to launch in early 2027, possibly in the first quarter. While official specifications and timelines are yet to be confirmed by Xiaomi, the early leaks suggest the Redmi K100 series could bring one of the biggest camera and performance upgrades the brand has seen in recent years.
