Oben Electric recorded its highest-ever monthly registrations in September 2026, with 1,417 electric motorcycles registered during the month, according to data shown on the Vahan dashboard. The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer also emerged as the top performer among the five manufacturers listed in the dashboard’s electric motorcycle category for the month, marking a significant milestone for the company as competition in India’s electric motorcycle market continues to grow.
The company attributed the strong September performance largely to the Rorr Evo, one of its electric motorcycle models currently available in India. The motorcycle has become an important part of Oben Electric’s product strategy as the company looks to expand its presence in a market that includes established electric two-wheeler manufacturers as well as newer players. The September registrations represent the highest monthly figure recorded by Oben Electric since it began selling its electric motorcycles.
The latest registration performance also coincided with another milestone for the company’s manufacturing operations. Oben Electric said cumulative production at its Bengaluru plant has now crossed the 10,000-unit mark. The production milestone comes as the company works to increase the scale of its electric motorcycle operations and build a larger customer base in the Indian market. The company’s focus remains on electric motorcycles rather than the broader electric scooter segment, where competition is considerably larger.

The Rorr Evo is central to Oben Electric’s current product lineup and has helped the manufacturer strengthen its position in the electric motorcycle space. The company competes with brands such as Matter and Revolt, among others, as manufacturers seek to attract buyers looking for alternatives to conventional petrol-powered motorcycles. Oben’s latest registration numbers indicate growing demand for its products, although the wider electric two-wheeler market remains dominated by several larger manufacturers.
The September figures are particularly notable because they come from vehicle registrations rather than simply production or dispatch numbers. Registration data provides a clearer indication of vehicles being registered for customers and entering the road-going market. Oben Electric’s 1,417 registrations therefore represent its strongest monthly retail-market performance based on the figures cited from the Vahan dashboard, while the company’s production crossing 10,000 units reflects the cumulative scale achieved at its Bengaluru facility.
The record month gives Oben Electric additional momentum as it seeks to expand its presence in India’s rapidly developing electric mobility sector. The company will now look to sustain the September performance and build on the traction generated by the Rorr Evo. With competition increasing among electric motorcycle makers and consumers becoming more familiar with electric alternatives, consistent registrations, production scale and product expansion will remain important factors in determining how Oben Electric develops its position in the market.
