The Indian Army has successfully concluded a high-stakes military exercise, 'Yudh Kaushal 3.0,' in Arunachal Pradesh’s rugged Kameng region, demonstrating its combat readiness in the challenging high-altitude and extreme climatic conditions of the Northeast. The exercise, which wrapped up on Saturday, showcased the Army’s integration of cutting-edge technologies and innovative operational strategies, reinforcing its preparedness for modern warfare, according to Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, a defence spokesperson.

The exercise highlighted the Army’s ability to operate seamlessly across multi-domain environments, featuring advanced drone surveillance, real-time target acquisition, precision strikes, and synchronized battlefield maneuvers. A standout feature was the operational debut of the newly-raised ASHNI platoons, which demonstrated the fusion of next-generation technology with time-tested tactics. “The ASHNI platoons proved how innovation can deliver a decisive edge in future conflicts,” Lt Col Rawat stated, emphasizing their role in enhancing combat effectiveness.

A significant aspect of 'Yudh Kaushal 3.0' was the active collaboration with India’s civil defence industry, showcasing indigenous innovations like unmanned systems and precision weaponry. This partnership underscored the nation’s push toward self-reliance in defence manufacturing, with homegrown technology translating into tangible battlefield advantages. “The exercise validated our ability to leverage indigenous advancements for national security,” Rawat added.
