In a historic move, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz inked a groundbreaking treaty today, forging stronger ties between the two nations on defense, trade, and tackling illegal migration. “This treaty is a powerful signal of our ambition to deepen our partnership,” Starmer declared, emphasizing the need to combat criminal gangs fueling dangerous English Channel crossings.
