Panic gripped several schools in Jalandhar on Monday after a bomb threat was received, leading authorities to evacuate students and launch security checks across the premises. Police and anti-sabotage teams responded immediately to ensure student safety.
The threat was reportedly sent to the principal of KMV School via email, warning that the building would be blown up. ACP (North) Sanjay Kumar, who was present at the school, confirmed that the premises were thoroughly searched following the alert.
"Anti-sabotage teams carried out detailed checks, but so far, nothing suspicious has been found," Kumar said, assuring parents that all necessary precautions were being taken to protect students.

Parents were advised to pick up their children from schools, with many expressing concern over the sudden alarm. “We were told there was a fault in the electricity and asked to collect our children immediately,” one parent told reporters.
Officials also reported that other schools in the city had received similar threats, heightening concern among authorities. Cyber Police teams have begun tracking the origin of the threatening emails to identify the culprits.
This incident comes shortly after a similar bomb threat hoax targeted several schools in Amritsar on December 12, highlighting the growing concern over fake threats causing public panic. Authorities continue to investigate and have urged parents and school staff to remain vigilant.
