Superstar Rajinikanth arrived at the sets of his upcoming film Dharman in Mysuru in an auto-rickshaw, creating an unexpected moment for fans gathered near the shooting location. The actor was seen getting out of the vehicle and waving to fans before heading to the set. Videos of the low-key arrival have since circulated online, drawing attention to the actor's unusual mode of transport.

The Mysuru schedule is part of the ongoing production of Dharman, which features Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, marking his first collaboration with Rajinikanth. It is being produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with R Mahendran of Turmeric Media. The makers had earlier unveiled a first look featuring Rajinikanth as a doctor in an operating theatre.

Dharman has undergone several changes behind the scenes since it was announced in 2025. Sundar C was initially attached to direct the project but later exited, citing “unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.” Don director Cibi Chakravarthy subsequently joined the film and was involved in its development and pre-production before also parting ways with the project. The makers did not disclose the reason for his departure.

The ongoing Mysuru schedule marks another stage in the production as the team continues filming the project.

Before Dharman, Rajinikanth is set to return as Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer 2, the sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Jailer. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is scheduled for theatrical release on October 15. The cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, S.J. Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu, while Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Hrithik Roshan are expected to appear in cameo roles.
