US food delivery company DoorDash will create 3,000 jobs in India over the next two years through a new global technology hub opened in Hyderabad on Wednesday, according to the Telangana government. The centre will initially house teams handling customer support as well as general and administrative functions, expanding DoorDash’s presence in India’s technology and services ecosystem.
The Hyderabad facility will initially employ around 500 professionals and will become DoorDash’s third customer support-focused service hub globally. The company already operates similar centres in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. The new facility is expected to support DoorDash’s international operations while adding to the growing number of global companies establishing technology and service centres in Hyderabad.
The new hub is DoorDash’s second technology office in India after Pune. Its Pune operations include software, data and analytics teams, with the company’s presence there linked to its 2021 acquisition of robotics startup Chowbotics. The Hyderabad expansion will therefore broaden the company’s operational footprint in India beyond its existing technology and analytics activities.

DoorDash’s investment comes amid growing interest among multinational companies in India’s global capability centre (GCC) ecosystem. Companies are increasingly using offshore technology and service hubs to manage specialised functions, reduce operating costs and lessen reliance on external IT contractors. Hyderabad has emerged as one of the major destinations for such investments, attracting companies across technology, financial services, hospitality, retail and other sectors.
DoorDash joins companies including Costco, McDonald’s, Charles Schwab, Marriott and Southwest Airlines that have opened offshore centres in Hyderabad in recent months. The expansion comes as India continues to strengthen its position as a major global hub for GCC operations. According to a 2026 Nasscom-Zinnov report cited in the release, India has more than 2,100 GCCs employing around 2.36 million people and generating nearly $100 billion in revenue.
The planned 3,000 jobs over two years underline the scale of DoorDash’s India expansion and the growing role of Hyderabad in the company’s global operations. The initial focus on customer support and administrative functions is expected to be followed by further hiring as the centre expands, according to the Telangana government.
