Bollywood singer Yasser Desai has landed in legal trouble after performing a dangerous stunt on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, prompting Mumbai Police to file an FIR against him and two associates. A viral video circulating on social media captured Desai standing precariously on the bridge’s railing, an act deemed life-threatening and a violation of public safety norms.
The incident, reported by an onlooker who recorded the stunt, showed Desai climbing the edge of the iconic sea link while his associates filmed the act. After completing the stunt, the group fled the scene in their car. Mumbai Police traced the vehicle using its license plate and confirmed Desai’s identity during the investigation.
Bandra Police registered a case on Tuesday under sections 285 (public danger), 281 (rash driving), 125 (endangering safety), and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Motor Vehicles Act provisions. “Such stunts on the Sea Link are strictly prohibited,” a Bandra Police officer stated, emphasizing the risks to public safety.
