Vivo is set to launch two smartphones, the Vivo S2 FE and Vivo V80, in India on October 6. The company has begun teasing both devices ahead of their launch, revealing details about their design and selected features. While several specifications of the Vivo V80 have been announced, information about the S2 FE remains limited. Vivo is expected to reveal further details, including additional specifications and pricing, during the launch event.
The Vivo S2 FE is being positioned towards younger consumers, with an emphasis on design, entertainment and content creation. Vivo has confirmed that the smartphone will run on OriginOS and has teased a slim profile and an immersive display. Promotional material features the tagline “My New Story” and shows a dual-camera setup on the rear. The company has also highlighted the phone’s battery capacity, describing it as the largest battery it has offered in a smartphone so far.
The Vivo S2 FE will be available through Flipkart, Vivo India’s online store and offline retail outlets. The company has not yet disclosed the phone’s complete specifications, battery capacity or official price. Its design and colour options have been shown in promotional teasers, while more information is expected to emerge on October 6. There has also been speculation that another device could join the launch lineup, although Vivo has not confirmed this.

The Vivo V80, meanwhile, will feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a claimed local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The display specifications suggest a focus on smooth visuals and high brightness. Vivo has also confirmed a Zeiss-branded camera system, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel Night Telephoto camera and a Zeiss wide-angle camera.
For selfies and group photographs, the Vivo V80 will include a 50-megapixel front camera with a 92-degree field of view and autofocus. The smartphone will run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17, making it the first device in the V series to feature this software combination, according to the company. It will also pack a 7,200mAh battery and support 90W FlashCharge fast charging.
The Vivo V80’s expected pricing has surfaced through a claim by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, but Vivo has not officially confirmed the figures. The leaked prices suggest that the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant could cost Rs 63,000, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB model may be priced at Rs 70,000. The 8GB RAM and 512GB version is reportedly expected to cost Rs 80,000. These prices should be treated as unconfirmed until the company announces the official details at launch.
