UAE retailers are grappling with a significant shortage of iPhone 17 models as demand, particularly for the high-end Pro and Pro Max variants, has surged dramatically. According to a Khaleej Times report published on October 23, 2025, retailers noted an "unprecedented demand" for Apple’s latest devices, with footfall at stores increasing by 50% compared to the previous year. Pre-orders for premium models have already sold out, leaving many customers waiting for restocks.
Rajat Asthana, CEO of Eros Group, highlighted that the high demand is driven by the iPhone 17’s new features, including the popular ‘Cosmic Orange’ color option, and the cultural significance of Diwali, which has spurred gifting purchases. He attributed the shortages to a combination of overwhelming demand, limited initial supply, logistical challenges, and strategic allocation by Apple. Asthana predicted that supply constraints may persist through November 2025, particularly for high-storage Pro and Pro Max models.
Jumbo Electronics echoed these sentiments, confirming that demand is especially strong for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The retailer emphasized efforts to secure regular replenishments to meet customer needs, though availability remains limited. While some e-commerce platforms and Apple’s UAE online store show stock for certain variants, supplies are far from sufficient to meet the market’s enthusiasm.

The supply crunch underscores the iPhone 17’s appeal in the UAE, driven by its advanced features and festive season momentum. Retailers remain optimistic about improved stock levels by November, but for now, customers seeking premium models may face delays in securing their preferred devices.
