Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Monday expanded his Cabinet by inducting 19 new ministers after several rounds of consultations within the Congress leadership. The expansion marks a major step in completing the new government's ministerial team and aims to strengthen regional and community representation across the state. Alongside the Cabinet reshuffle, the government also announced key appointments to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, with senior legislator G S Patil set to become the new Speaker and first-time MLA A S Ponnanna chosen as Deputy Speaker.

The induction significantly expands the state's executive leadership and brings together leaders from different parts of Karnataka.
