Harmanpreet Kaur delivered a masterclass, smashing a stunning 84-ball 102 to lead India Women to a thrilling 13-run victory over England in the decisive third ODI, clinching the series 2-1. The Indian skipper’s seventh ODI century, coupled with a fiery 45-ball 50 from Jemimah Rodrigues, propelled India to an imposing 318/5. Despite a valiant chase, England fell short at 305 in 49.5 overs, undone by young pacer Kranti Goud’s sensational 6/52.
Harmanpreet, who had been quiet in the earlier matches, chose the perfect moment to shine, reaching 4,000 WODI runs in her 149th game. Her elegant strokeplay, particularly through the off-side with 14 boundaries, anchored India’s innings. She forged key partnerships—81 runs with Harleen Deol (45) and a rapid 110 off 77 balls with Rodrigues—to set a daunting target. Richa Ghosh’s explosive 38 off 18 balls, including three fours and two sixes, added the finishing flourish.
India’s openers, Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal, laid a solid foundation with a 64-run stand. Mandhana’s aggressive 45 off 54 balls ended with a miscued pull, while Rawal’s steady 26 off 33 was cut short by a faint edge. Rodrigues dazzled with seven fours, including three consecutive boundaries off Charlie Dean, but fell for 50. Deol, too, looked set for a big score before being dismissed for 45 by Lauren Bell.

England’s chase was spirited but faltered under pressure. Goud’s fiery spell, backed by Shree Charani’s 2/68, ensured India’s bowlers held their nerve. This victory capped a stellar tour for India, who also edged the T20I series 3-2, cementing their dominance.
