Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has surged 10 places to 23rd in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings, fueled by her stellar performances in the ongoing series against England. Her unbeaten 62 in the first ODI, earning her the Player of the Match award, and an unbeaten 30 in the second ODI powered India’s chase of 259, cementing her rise in the rankings released Tuesday.
Meanwhile, India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana held firm at the top of the batting rankings with 727 rating points, despite modest scores of 28 and 42 in the first two matches. However, captain Harmanpreet Kaur slipped five spots to 21st after struggling with 17 and 7 in the same games.
England’s Sophia Dunkley climbed 24 places to 52nd with an 83 off 92 balls in the first ODI, while Alice Davidson-Richards soared 40 spots to 118th with a solid 53.

In the bowling rankings, England’s Sophie Ecclestone solidified her No.1 spot, boosting her rating from 747 to 776 with four wickets, including a match-winning 3/27 in the second ODI. She leads Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner (724) and Megan Schutt (696), with Deepti Sharma holding steady at fourth.
Finger spinners dominated the series, with England’s Charlie Dean (three wickets) rising two spots to ninth (625 rating points) and India’s Sneh Rana (three wickets) leaping 12 places to 21st (515 rating points), both hitting career-best marks.
In the all-rounder rankings, Dean advanced to joint 14th alongside Australia’s Ellyse Perry, while Ecclestone’s quickfire 23 not out and four wickets lifted her three spots to 18th. Deepti, a consistent all-rounder, remains a key figure for India, though her exact all-rounder ranking was unchanged in this update.
The rankings reflect the intense India-England series, with both teams showcasing talent ahead of their five T20Is and three ODIs later this month.
