Indian cricket all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya met Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai, on Sunday in a courtesy call that celebrated their contributions to Indian cricket.
The Pandya brothers, hailing from Vadodara, presented the Governor with an autographed bat and an India jersey, while Radhakrishnan honored them with a certificate of appreciation and bouquets, as shared in photos on his official X account.
Governor Radhakrishnan expressed his delight, posting on X, “Delighted to meet our respected Indian Cricket Team Players Shri. @hardikpandya7 Ji and Shri. @krunalpandya24 Ji today at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on a courtesy meet. My best wishes.” The meeting highlighted the brothers’ stellar performances, particularly in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and international cricket.

Hardik Pandya, the current Mumbai Indians (MI) captain, led Gujarat Titans to their maiden IPL title in 2022 and a runner-up finish in 2023.
Despite a challenging 2024 IPL season where MI missed the playoffs, Hardik guided them to Qualifier 2 in 2025, only to be outplayed by Punjab Kings. His international heroics include being the first Indian to top the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings in 2024, with 11 wickets and 144 runs in India’s T20 World Cup triumph, notably dismissing key South African batsmen in the final.
Krunal Pandya, playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), earned Player of the Match in the 2025 IPL final, taking 2/17 to secure RCB’s first-ever IPL trophy against Punjab Kings. His crucial wickets of Prabhsimran Singh and Josh Inglis derailed Punjab’s chase of 191, sealing a six-run victory.
The emotional moment saw Hardik, despite MI’s loss, tearfully congratulate his brother on Instagram, writing, “In tears right now. Proud of you bhai.”
The Pandya brothers’ journey from Vadodara to cricketing stardom has been marked by resilience. Hardik, once dropped from state teams for “attitude problems,” transformed into a clutch performer, while Krunal’s spin-bowling and middle-order batting have made him a T20 mainstay.
Their meeting with the Governor underscores their growing legacy, with fans on X buzzing about their camaraderie and contributions to Indian cricket.
As India prepares for upcoming international fixtures, including the 2025 Champions Trophy, the Pandya brothers remain pivotal to the team’s all-round strength. Their visit to Raj Bhavan reflects not just personal achievement but also the pride they bring to Maharashtra and India.
