Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the NDA government led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, alleging that governance in the state has become unstable and directionless due to the delay in cabinet expansion. He claimed that the absence of a full council of ministers has led to administrative paralysis and weakened decision-making at a crucial time.
In a post on social media platform X, Yadav alleged that “only three individuals are effectively running the government,” referring to the Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers who currently handle a large number of departments between them. He argued that the concentration of power in a few hands is affecting governance efficiency and raising questions about institutional balance in the state administration.
The RJD leader further claimed that Bihar has already witnessed significant political instability within a short span of time after the Assembly elections, stating that the state has seen changes in leadership twice within six months. He said nearly half of the government’s first year has been “wasted” due to delays in forming a full cabinet and setting clear policy priorities for development and governance.

Yadav also criticised what he described as arbitrary decision-making in the absence of a complete cabinet. He alleged that important policy decisions are being taken without proper consultation or collective discussion, which he said goes against democratic principles. According to him, this has resulted in confusion over the government’s priorities, programmes, and long-term development plans for the state.
Expanding his criticism, the opposition leader targeted the NDA leadership, particularly former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of frequent political shifts that have contributed to instability in governance over the years. He claimed that repeated changes in alliances and leadership have disrupted administrative continuity and affected public trust in the government’s functioning.
Yadav also highlighted pressing issues in Bihar such as unemployment, migration, corruption, and deteriorating law and order, alleging that the current administration has failed to address them effectively. He said the government has not been able to inspire confidence among youth, farmers, women, and traders. The remarks come amid ongoing political tensions over cabinet expansion, with the opposition intensifying its attack on the ruling alliance’s governance record.
