Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a breakfast meeting with newly elected NDA Lok Sabha MPs in New Delhi amid continued disruptions in Parliament, urging lawmakers to participate actively in House proceedings and use their positions to advance development in their constituencies. According to sources, Modi described Parliament as the "supreme temple of democracy" and expressed concern that repeated disruptions were preventing newly elected MPs from participating fully in debates.

Modi reportedly told the MPs that the ongoing uproar in Parliament was unfair to newly elected members who were not getting adequate opportunities to speak. He urged them to make effective use of parliamentary proceedings, contribute constructively to debates and ensure that the functioning of the House remained smooth. The Prime Minister also encouraged the lawmakers to study the history of Parliament and use its extensive historical material while preparing for debates.

Around 45 MPs attended the breakfast meeting, including seven members of the Shiv Sena, 20 from the National Citizens Party of India (NCPI) and two MPs from the NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar. During the interaction, Modi also addressed Trinamool Congress rebels and six former Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction MPs who recently joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.

The Prime Minister assured the MPs who had recently changed political affiliations that the NDA was a family and that all constituent parties and their members would be respected. He reportedly told them that every MP would be given an opportunity to contribute and assured them that they had nothing to worry about. Modi also urged the lawmakers to use their influence constructively to advance development projects in their respective constituencies.

Modi advised the MPs to remain closely connected with people in their constituencies and understand their concerns. He suggested that they could approach the Prime Minister's Office directly regarding development-related matters and encouraged them to meet people across different sections of society, including farmers and labourers. He later interacted individually with the MPs and enquired about their well-being, according to the report.

The breakfast meeting was part of Modi's broader outreach to NDA lawmakers during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. A day earlier, he had hosted a dinner interaction with 37 BJP MPs at his official residence. During that meeting, Modi discussed governance and parliamentary affairs, shared personal experiences and encouraged MPs to maintain cordial relations with Opposition members while avoiding what he described as being caught up in "Delhi's web of narratives."
