All Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs from Haryana are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on October 3, with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state BJP president Dr Archana Gupta leading the delegation. The meeting comes amid political debate over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and a recent reshuffle in the BJP's Haryana organisation.
The BJP has 48 MLAs in the 90-member Haryana Assembly. Before meeting the Prime Minister, the legislators are scheduled to meet Saini and Gupta at Haryana Niwas in Delhi and have lunch with the Chief Minister. They are then expected to proceed together for the meeting with Modi, which has been scheduled for the afternoon.
No formal agenda for the meeting has been publicly announced. Reports indicate that discussions could cover the prevailing political situation in Haryana, coordination between the party organisation and the state government, and the implementation and public response to government welfare programmes. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the state legislators to interact collectively with the Prime Minister.

The meeting comes amid an ongoing political dispute over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Opposition parties, including the Congress, have criticised the exercise, while BJP leaders have defended the Election Commission and its role in the revision process. The SIR issue has therefore become part of the wider political discussion in Haryana, although it has not been officially confirmed as the agenda for the October 3 meeting.
The interaction also follows a recent organisational reshuffle in the BJP. Former Union minister and BJP national general secretary Smriti Irani was appointed the party's Haryana in-charge, replacing Satish Poonia, while Dr Bhola Singh was named co-in-charge. The appointments were part of a wider organisational restructuring announced by the BJP in September.
According to reports, the October 3 meeting was sought by state BJP president Archana Gupta after she took charge of the post. The interaction was initially expected to take place in September but was subsequently deferred because of the Prime Minister's schedule. The meeting is now scheduled for October 3, bringing the Haryana BJP's legislators and senior state leadership together with Modi in Delhi.
