Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ambitious Atal Puram Township, the Agra Development Authority's largest housing project in nearly four decades. Spanning 340 acres at the junction of Agra Inner Ring Road, Southern Bypass, and Gwalior Road, this mega-development promises modern living for thousands.
The township, set to be built in three phases across 11 sectors, will house nearly 10,000 families. It features 1,430 residential plots, 18 group housing plots, and 96 commercial plots. Designed with cutting-edge infrastructure, Atal Puram includes underground utility ducts, a sewerage system, and a water treatment plant. The project also boasts essential amenities like a police post, fire station, and a state-of-the-art convention centre.
In a farmer-friendly move, the Agra Development Authority acquired the land directly from farmers, paying four times the circle rate, costing Rs 784 crore. An additional Rs 731 crore will fuel the township’s development, showcasing the government’s commitment to both urban progress and farmer welfare.
