Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed 3,397 development proposals worth Rs 42,891 crore during a high-level meeting with public representatives from the Lucknow division, encompassing Lucknow, Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Sitapur, and Lakhimpur Kheri. The session, attended by 42 MLAs and 5 MLCs, focused on new projects and infrastructure needs to elevate the region’s growth.
Adityanath highlighted the unique cultural and historical significance of each district. He called Lucknow the cultural heart of Awadh, a beacon of art, literature, and modernity, comparing its timeless spirit to Kashi. Hardoi was lauded for its legacy of truth and penance, while Rae Bareli was celebrated for its contributions to literature and India’s freedom struggle. Unnao was recognized as the ‘karmabhoomi’ of freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad, Sitapur for its spiritual prominence, and Lakhimpur Kheri for its global fame via Dudhwa National Park, alongside its agricultural richness and Tharu culture.
Stressing timely execution, Adityanath demanded clear action plans, continuous dialogue, and regular feedback to ensure quality and punctuality. He prioritized road infrastructure, including four-laning district headquarters, two-laning block headquarters, sugar mill roads, single-connectivity roads, and black spot rectification, with strict deadlines. Special emphasis was placed on road projects in villages linked to public workers and martyrs.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the Chief Minister Tourism Promotion Scheme, which has revitalized over 1,000 religious sites across Uttar Pradesh, boosting tourism and cultural heritage. The ambitious proposals signal a transformative push for the Lucknow division, blending infrastructure development with the region’s rich historical and cultural legacy.
