Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended warm greetings to the state’s residents on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, celebrating the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. In a heartfelt post on X in Hindi, Adityanath wrote, “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum! Liladhar, Yogeshwar, the foundation of the entire world, hearty congratulations and best wishes to everyone on the holy incarnation day of Lord Shri Krishna 'Shri Krishna Janmashtami'! May Muralidhar spread love, compassion, and devotion in everyone’s life. Jai Shri Krishna!”
Joining the festivities, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya shared his greetings on X, stating, “Heartiest greetings to all devotees on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Yogeshwar Lord Shri Dwarkadhish! May love, happiness, and success always prevail with Lord Krishna’s blessings. Jai Shri Krishna!” Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also conveyed his warm wishes, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of the festival.
Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna, is celebrated with fervor across Uttar Pradesh, with temples adorned and devotees thronging for prayers and festivities. The state government has ensured elaborate arrangements at key religious sites, including Mathura and Vrindavan, where Krishna’s life and teachings are deeply revered. Adityanath emphasized the festival’s significance, calling it a time to imbibe Krishna’s teachings of righteousness and compassion.
