Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on its centenary, lauding the organisation's unwavering discipline and dedication in serving the nation from the freedom struggle to modern crises. In a message shared on X on Vijayadashami, Kalyan extended profound wishes to the RSS, founded by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on this auspicious day in 1925. He emphasised that the Sangh's true strength lies in the selfless actions of its volunteers, or swayamsevaks, who prioritise service over self.
Kalyan highlighted Hedgewar's visionary establishment of the RSS amid India's independence movement, aiming to foster a generation grounded in unity, sacrifice, and national pride. Over the past century, the organisation has quietly contributed to nation-building, responding to natural calamities, social upheavals, and emergencies with remarkable resolve. "The RSS has always stood at the forefront, silently serving the nation with unmatched discipline and dedication," Kalyan stated, underscoring its role in promoting cultural and societal harmony.
The Deputy CM expressed deep gratitude to RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, whose 15-year leadership—from grassroots pracharak to national figure—exemplifies commitment to societal unity and Sanatana Dharma. "His journey inspires millions and strengthens the spirit of service across the nation," Kalyan noted. Bhagwat's tenure has navigated the RSS through contemporary challenges, reinforcing its ethos of character-building and community welfare.

The RSS, a Hindu nationalist volunteer organisation with millions of members worldwide, continues to influence India's socio-political landscape through its affiliates, including the Bharatiya Janata Party.
