The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has officially launched the full-fledged version of the new Aadhaar app, marking a major step toward digital convenience and data security for citizens. Announced on Tuesday, the app is now available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The new Aadhaar app is designed to help users securely store, manage, and update their Aadhaar details directly from their smartphones. One of its most notable features is the easy mobile number updation facility, reducing the need for physical visits to Aadhaar enrolment centres.
The app also introduces secure offline Aadhaar verification, allowing users to share only required details without disclosing their full Aadhaar number. This feature enhances privacy while enabling authentication in situations where internet connectivity may be limited.

Another key highlight is the ability to manage multiple Aadhaar profiles, making it especially useful for families. Users can securely store and access Aadhaar details of dependents, such as children or elderly family members, within a single app interface.
UIDAI stated that the app follows strong encryption and security protocols to protect personal data and prevent misuse. With its user-friendly design and expanded functionality, the new Aadhaar app aims to strengthen India’s digital identity ecosystem while making Aadhaar services more accessible, secure, and efficient for millions of users nationwide.
