A rented Mahindra Thar, allegedly driven by a 16-year-old Delhi resident, rammed into multiple parked vehicles and a two-wheeler near ESIC Hospital in Noida’s Sector 24 on Friday. The incident reportedly occurred after the teenager panicked upon spotting his family members while driving, resulting in loss of control. One man was injured in the crash.
Police investigations revealed that the teen had taken the SUV on rent without informing his family. He had left home the previous afternoon with a friend, also a minor, and was reportedly heading to meet another acquaintance when the situation escalated. The panic led to the vehicle colliding with several parked cars and motorcycles along the roadside.
Eyewitnesses captured footage showing extensive damage, with broken vehicle parts scattered and the Thar itself badly wrecked. People at the scene managed to stop the two boys from fleeing after the crash, ensuring that the police could take them into custody promptly.

The injured, identified as Rana Singh, stated he was on his way back from duty when the speeding Thar hit him at nearly 100 km/h. He described the impact as severe and sought immediate medical attention before reporting the incident to the authorities. Singh was the only person injured in the crash.
Both minors have been taken into custody, and a case has been registered. The rented Thar has been seized, and authorities are investigating how the underage teens were able to rent the vehicle and the chain of events leading up to the accident. The probe is ongoing to determine accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
