A four-member ministerial delegation from the Jharkhand government met an 11-member group representing JPSC and JSSC examination aspirants at the state guest house on Friday. The talks were held amid continuing protests at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the state commissions.

Cabinet Minister Dipika Pandey Singh said the protesters explained their demands in detail and that the main concerns had been forwarded to the Chief Minister’s Office. The government has asked the representatives to submit clarification on certain matters in writing. “We have presented their issues before the Chief Minister. We will soon have a solution,” she told reporters after the meeting.

Student leader Neetu Kujur described the discussions as constructive and said the ministers appeared receptive to the delegation’s concerns. According to her, government representatives acknowledged the need for reforms and expressed a willingness to support the aspirants. A second round of discussions is expected after the Chief Minister examines the documented demands and provides a response.

A delegation member said officials advised protesters to remain alert to the possible involvement of disruptive or “anti-national” elements. The aspirants rejected any suggestion that such people or organised groups were part of their movement, pointing to the discipline maintained at the protest site. The government also agreed to arrange a special medical team for the demonstrators.

The aspirants said their scheduled protest would continue until the government provided a positive response and accepted their demands. Student leader Ravindra Paswan maintained that the dialogue could not be considered successful if any major demand remained unresolved. Protesters said they would withdraw the agitation only after receiving satisfactory assurances and action from the administration.

Their demands fall into three broad categories: cancellation of certain JSSC examinations, including tests conducted by the TDPL agency and those allegedly connected to Abhay Tiwari; investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate; and structural and operational reforms within the JPSC and JSSC. Paswan said the protesters considered independent investigations and institutional changes essential to restoring confidence in the recruitment process.
