Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched a transformative Health Information Management System (HIMS), promising to end long hospital queues and bring healthcare into the digital age. The rollout, announced Thursday, also saw the inauguration of 34 Ayushman Mandirs and eight Jan Aushadhi Kendras, marking a bold leap toward accessible, modern healthcare for all.
The HIMS, powered by NextGen e-Hospital software and integrated with Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs, creates a seamless network connecting hospitals, doctors, and patients. “No more standing in lines or chasing appointments,” Gupta declared. “With HIMS, you can book OPD slots online, get digital slips, and access your health records instantly.” Over 93 lakh ABHA IDs have already been generated, ensuring secure, centralized tracking of patient data for better treatment outcomes.
Gupta didn’t shy away from slamming the previous AAP government, accusing them of squandering crores on incomplete healthcare projects. “They left us with empty promises and iron cabins—no medicines, no doctors, no accountability,” she said. In contrast, her government aims to make Delhi a hub for super-specialty hospitals, attracting patients nationwide.

Currently live in 35 government hospitals for OPD registrations, HIMS will soon expand across all public health facilities. The newly launched Ayushman Mandirs, spread across areas like Shilampur, Kalkaji, and Burari, offer primary care services, including vaccinations, maternal care, and yoga sessions. Meanwhile, the eight Jan Aushadhi Kendras in government hospitals provide affordable medicines, with 17 more opened earlier this year.
Health Minister Pankaj Singh emphasized the government’s commitment to action over hype. “We’ve set up 68 Ayushman Mandirs in just a month,” he said. “This isn’t a government of ads—it’s a government that delivers.” With plans for more Kendras and completed projects, Delhi’s healthcare is on a fast track to transformation.
This isn’t just a system upgrade—it’s a healthcare revolution that puts patients first and promises a healthier future for Delhi.
