The Delhi Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory ahead of the much-anticipated AI Impact Summit, scheduled to take place in the national capital from February 16 to February 20. The five-day international gathering will be hosted at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan and is expected to draw global attention. Heads of state, senior ministers, international delegates, and leaders of major organisations are set to attend the high-level event.
Considering the scale and security requirements of the summit, authorities have planned extensive traffic regulations in and around the venue. Key areas within the New Delhi district and adjoining zones will witness regulated vehicular movement to ensure smooth passage for VVIP convoys and secure event operations. Officials emphasized that the measures are designed to balance security needs with public convenience.
Certain stretches have been identified as restricted corridors during VVIP route movements. These include Bhairon Marg (excluding the Ring Road T-point) and Mathura Road from the Subramania Bharti Marg T-point to Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk. During designated movement periods, entry of general vehicles on these routes will not be permitted, and traffic will be temporarily halted or diverted.

Vehicles not destined for Delhi will be rerouted via the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways and other designated corridors. Such vehicles will not be allowed to enter the capital during the summit period. Buses may also face diversions depending on security protocols, while alternative arrangements will be made to minimize disruption to daily commuters.
Authorities have assured that essential services, including ambulances and medical emergency vehicles, will receive uninterrupted priority passage. Passengers travelling to airports and railway stations are advised to factor in additional travel time and consider alternate routes. Commuters are also encouraged to use Delhi Metro services wherever possible to avoid delays.
The Delhi Police has urged residents and visitors to cooperate fully with the temporary arrangements and plan journeys in advance. With elaborate security and administrative measures in place, officials aim to ensure a smooth, secure, and hassle-free experience for both international delegates and the general public during the summit.
