Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has issued a clarion call for government officials to modernize their skills to deliver efficient and empathetic public services. Speaking at the inauguration of a two-day training program for Tehsildars and Sub Registrars of the Revenue Department, Gupta emphasized the critical role of continuous learning in enhancing governance.
"For too long, Delhi’s government lacked a structured system for training its officials," Gupta remarked. "By equipping our Tehsildars and Sub Registrars with cutting-edge techniques and technology, we’re ensuring they can address public grievances with greater competence and care." The initiative marks a significant step toward professionalizing the bureaucracy, with the government now mandating training for senior officers as well.
Gupta stressed that sensitivity toward citizens’ concerns is a cornerstone of the program. "Officials must stay connected with the people, understand their challenges, and resolve issues promptly," she urged. The training focuses on adopting the latest administrative systems, streamlining processes, and fostering a people-centric approach to governance.
