A major sexual harassment investigation in Nashik has taken a dramatic turn after seven women police officers reportedly entered a multinational company in disguise and directly observed inappropriate behaviour allegedly being committed against female employees, leading to multiple arrests in the case.
The operation is linked to a broader probe into allegations of prolonged sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and workplace misconduct spanning several years at a private multinational firm in Nashik. According to police officials, the undercover officers witnessed one of the key accused engaging in inappropriate behaviour during an internal meeting, which strengthened the ongoing investigation and led to immediate action.
The case involves multiple complaints filed by women employees, most of them aged between 18 and 25, alleging repeated harassment, intimidation, and abuse by several staff members, including a team leader and human resources personnel. Investigators have registered multiple FIRs and are currently reviewing more than 40 CCTV footage clips to collect additional evidence and establish the sequence of events.

Police say the allegations extend over several incidents between 2022 and 2026, including claims of inappropriate physical contact, stalking, abusive language, and coercion. Some complainants have also alleged attempts at forced religious conversion and derogatory remarks targeting religious sentiments, though these claims remain under judicial scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by ACP (Crime) Sandeep Mitke under the direction of Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, has been formed to probe the case further. Officials said five accused have been arrested and remanded in police custody, while one is in judicial custody and another includes a human resources staff member accused of failing to act on complaints under workplace harassment regulations.
Authorities have urged additional victims or witnesses to come forward as the investigation continues, suggesting the possibility of a wider pattern of misconduct within the organisation. The SIT is also examining whether the allegations point to a more organised system of abuse and cover-ups within the workplace structure.
