In a jaw-dropping bust, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has exposed a fake embassy operating out of a rented house in Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar, arresting the mastermind, Harsh Vardhan Jain, on July 22, 2025. Posing as a diplomat for the non-existent “West Arctica” and other fictional micronations like Saborga, Poulvia, and Lodonia, Jain allegedly duped people with promises of overseas jobs while running a sophisticated scam.
The STF’s Noida unit uncovered Jain’s operation, revealing he used forged diplomatic number plates on luxury cars and manipulated photos with high-profile figures like the Prime Minister and President to deceive victims. Preliminary investigations suggest Jain brokered fake job placement deals for companies and individuals, luring them with false promises of international opportunities. The STF also suspects he ran a hawala racket through shell companies, adding a layer of financial fraud to his elaborate scheme.
During the raid, authorities seized four vehicles with fake diplomatic plates, 12 forged diplomatic passports, fake Ministry of External Affairs documents, two counterfeit PAN cards, 34 rubber stamps of various countries and companies, two fake press cards, ₹44.7 lakh in cash, and foreign currency. Jain’s past includes a 2011 case for possessing an illegal satellite phone and alleged ties to controversial figures like godman Chandraswami and arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, hinting at a history of dubious activities.

Operating from a plush rented bungalow, Jain styled himself as a “Consul” or “Ambassador,” exploiting the allure of his fake diplomatic status. The STF has registered a case at Kavi Nagar police station, and further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of his fraudulent network. This sensational crackdown exposes the audacity of a scam that preyed on dreams of international success, leaving authorities and victims alike stunned.
