Reliance Jio has launched the JioTag 2 in India, introducing a cross-platform smart tracker compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The new tracker supports Google's Find Hub and Apple's Find My networks, allowing users to locate everyday belongings such as keys, wallets, bags and luggage through their smartphones. Succeeding the original JioTag launched in 2023, the latest version brings improved compatibility, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity and community-based location tracking to help users recover misplaced items.
The JioTag 2 is priced at ₹1,249 and is available in Black, Green and Red colour options. The tracker is currently available for purchase through Amazon India. With support for both major mobile ecosystems, the device offers greater flexibility than its predecessor, enabling users to manage and track tagged belongings regardless of whether they use Android or Apple devices.
The tracker integrates with Google's Find Hub on Android smartphones and Apple's Find My service on iPhones and iPads. Users can activate the built-in 120dB buzzer through the respective apps to locate nearby items within Bluetooth range. If the tagged item moves out of Bluetooth range, compatible Android and Apple devices in the surrounding area can anonymously help update its location through the Google Find Hub and Apple Find My community networks.

JioTag 2 also supports Lost Mode, which is designed to improve the chances of recovering misplaced belongings. The device does not require a SIM card, cellular connectivity or a recurring subscription plan. Instead, it relies on Bluetooth Low Energy technology and community-based location networks to provide semi-real-time location updates. According to the company, the tracker can assist users in locating tagged items across cities, countries and even continents where supported devices are available.
The device features an IP64-rated body, providing protection against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for everyday use. It is powered by a replaceable battery that Jio claims can last up to one year under normal usage. To enhance convenience, the company also includes an additional replacement battery in the retail package, eliminating the need for frequent charging.
With the launch of JioTag 2, Reliance Jio has expanded its portfolio of smart connected devices while addressing the growing demand for affordable item trackers in India. Its compatibility with both Google's and Apple's location networks, combined with features such as a loud buzzer, Lost Mode, long battery life and subscription-free operation, positions the JioTag 2 as a practical solution for users looking to keep track of their everyday belongings.
