The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has intensified its crackdown on a transnational terrorist-gangster network by filing a chargesheet against the two primary shooters responsible for the brazen firing incident at Highway King Hotel in Neemrana on September 8, 2024. This move marks a significant advancement in unraveling the conspiracy aimed at spreading terror and extorting businesses in India.
The chargesheet, submitted before a special court in Jaipur, Rajasthan, names Punjab-based accused Puneet and Narinder Lalli (also known as Narender alias Lally) for offenses under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Arms Act, and the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. With this filing, a total of nine individuals have now been formally chargesheeted in the case registered as RC 01/2024/NIA/JPR, while investigations into additional linkages continue.
The attack was orchestrated by a deadly syndicate comprising the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), headed by Canada-based designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, in collaboration with the Bambiha gang. Over 35 rounds were fired around the hotel premises in a calculated bid to intimidate the owners, demand extortion, and instill widespread fear among residents and tourists in the region.

Planning for the operation was allegedly managed by gang members Dinesh Gandhi and Saurabh Kataria, with Puneet and Narinder executing the shooting under the direct protection and guidance of Arsh Dala and Gandhi. The NIA's probe established that the duo deployed prohibited firearms during the assault and personally issued threats on behalf of the terror network.
Evidence gathered by the agency further reveals that Puneet and Narinder were provided ongoing financial assistance, safe havens, and sophisticated weapons by the syndicate to sustain and advance the anti-national objectives of the KTF, underscoring the persistent threat posed by cross-border Khalistani elements to India's internal security.
