Netflix has announced the second season of the reality show Lock Upp, confirming that the show will return with a new set of contestants. The announcement was made on social media, although the streaming platform has not yet revealed the release date or the names of the participants. The upcoming season is expected to continue the show's reality-based format built around contestants living and competing in a jail-like setup.
Producer Ekta Kapoor has also confirmed that Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh will return as hosts for the new season. The duo will reprise their roles as the show's jailer hosts, bringing their distinct personalities and dynamic to the upcoming chapter. According to Kapoor, the new season will take viewers into a familiar world while introducing new stories, personalities and surprises.
Kapoor said Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa on Netflix had exceeded expectations, with its conversations, contestants and memorable moments continuing to resonate with audiences after the finale. She added that the return of the show would build on that response while introducing a fresh set of narratives. Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh are set to remain at the centre of the format as the returning hosts.
