Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for hits like Kaithi, Master, Leo, and Vikram, the film has set a new record as the highest-ever single-day gross for a Tamil film, according to a post by the makers on X.

The action-packed drama features Rajinikanth as a courageous coolie who battles a corrupt syndicate exploiting workers in a port town. The star-studded cast includes Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, with Nagarjuna as the antagonist and Aamir Khan in a special appearance. Produced by Sun Pictures and distributed by Pen Studios, Coolie marks Rajinikanth’s 171st film as a lead actor and his first collaboration with Kanagaraj.
