Fans of the ‘Pushpa’ franchise have reason to celebrate as producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers has officially confirmed Pushpa 3. However, they will have to wait— the much-anticipated sequel is slated for a 2028 release.
Speaking at an event, Ravi Shankar explained the delay, citing Allu Arjun’s packed schedule. “Allu Arjun has two films lined up with Atlee and Trivikram Srinivas, which will take at least two years to complete,” he stated. Director Sukumar is also committed to directing Ram Charan before returning to the Pushpa universe.
The climax of ‘Pushpa 2’: The Rule hinted at the saga’s continuation, fueling speculation about a third installment. Now, it’s official. “Allu Arjun has agreed in principle to take the franchise forward, and Pushpa 3 will be an action-packed adventure on a much bigger scale,” revealed a source close to the production. “Around 20-30% of the footage has already been shot.”
Mythri Movie Makers reassured fans, stating, “Unlike last time, we won’t delay things, and the film is expected to be released in 2028.”
With ‘Pushpa 3’, Allu Arjun strengthens his position as a frontrunner in the race of sequels and prequels. While Prabhas is set to work on sequels for ‘Salaar’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Pushpa 3’ is already on track, putting Arjun ahead in the franchise game.
As fans eagerly await more updates, the Pushpa universe is set to expand with an even grander spectacle in 2028.
‘Pushpa’ star also beats Prabhas, who is going to start the sequel to two of his films, 'Salaar' and 'Kalki 2898 AD,' this year, so it will take more time for Prabhas to consider a third part for any of his movies, leaving Allu Arjun far ahead in the race of sequels and prequels.
