Veteran actor Nana Patekar's last public appearance has come to light following his death in Goa on Thursday at the age of 75. The actor had attended an installation ceremony organised by Samraat Club International in Dona Paula on October 4, where he addressed the gathering and spoke about his association with Goa. Footage from the event has emerged following news of his death.
During the programme, Nana spoke about his friendship with former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and reflected on life, time and the uncertainty surrounding the future. Some of his remarks have attracted renewed attention after his death, although they were made several days before he suffered the medical emergency. The actor appeared at the event as part of his public engagements in the state.
Another recording from his time in Goa showed Nana participating in a cultural performance in Panjim. He was seen playing the Shamel, a traditional Goan percussion instrument, during the programme. The appearance offered another glimpse of the actor during the final days of his life and has since circulated widely following the announcement of his death.
