Actor Kriti Sanon has dismissed ongoing rumours suggesting that Cocktail 2 features a lesbian love story between her and co-star Rashmika Mandanna, clarifying that the film does not revolve around such a storyline. The clarification came during a promotional event where the cast addressed audience questions about the nature of their on-screen relationships.
During the interaction, a question from the audience about the speculation prompted laughter from Rashmika, who appeared amused by the rumours circulating online. Kriti quickly responded to set the record straight, stating that there is no lesbian storyline in the film. She further clarified that the narrative involves emotional dynamics between the characters rather than a same-sex romantic angle.
Rashmika, reacting to the chemistry between the lead actors, said during the event that the trio shares strong on-screen energy, adding humorously that “we do have that chemistry.” The actors collectively emphasized that their characters are portrayed as “straight individuals,” and described the film’s central theme as an “emotional threesome,” focusing on relationships and interpersonal conflict rather than physical romance.
