Prime Video unveiled its upcoming original talk show, Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle, on Tuesday, featuring Bollywood icon Kajol and author-former actor Twinkle Khanna as co-hosts. Produced by Banijay Asia, the eight-episode series, set to premiere this fall, promises candid, humorous conversations with A-list Bollywood guests, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar, per reports from Filmfare and other sources.
Described as “bold, fiery, and unapologetically unfiltered,” the show leverages Kajol’s vibrant energy and Twinkle’s sharp wit, seen in her Mrs Funnybones column and Tweak India interviews, to deliver insights and nostalgia. “This is a first-of-its-kind talk show, reinventing the genre with two of India’s sharpest voices,” said Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India. Mrinalini Jain of Banijay Asia added, “It celebrates Kajol and Twinkle’s fearless personalities, packed with laughter and relatable topics.”
The series, likened to Koffee with Karan, aims to outshine with its star-studded roster and informal vibe, spotlighting the hosts’ camaraderie and industry ties—Kajol is married to Ajay Devgn, Twinkle to Akshay Kumar. Fans anticipate a Shah Rukh-Kajol reunion, evoking their iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge chemistry. While Kajol’s recent film Maa grossed over ₹20 crore, Twinkle continues her literary success with books like Welcome to Paradise.
