Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat declared Bharat as the world’s "only pole star" capable of guiding social, cultural, and ideological transformations during his address at the inauguration of a five-day training camp for Vidya Bharati Shiksha Sansthan workers in Bhopal. Speaking at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Residential School, Sharda Vihar, Bhagwat urged the creation of a society rooted not just in economic progress but in eternal Indian values like humanity, compassion, and truth.
The event, attended by over 700 full-time karyakartas (workers) of Vidya Bharati—the RSS’s educational wing—marks a significant step in preparing for the organization’s centenary in 2025-2026. Bhagwat emphasized that amid global "distortions," Bharat’s Sanatan (eternal) traditions offer a beacon for progress. “The changes taking place in the world need direction from Bharat’s timeless heritage,” he said, calling for education, culture, and policies aligned with Indian ethos to foster holistic national development.
Bhagwat’s vision extends beyond India, presenting it as an ideal model for global peace and harmony. He praised Vidya Bharati, which educates over 3.6 million students through 12,000 schools nationwide, noting its work has garnered international recognition. “This proves the Sangh’s efforts resonate globally,” he remarked, highlighting the organization’s growing influence.
The RSS chief also outlined key initiatives like "Panch Parivartan" (Five Transformations), "Vimarsh Parivartan" (Ideological Transformation), and "Sajjan Shakti Jagran" (Awakening of Virtuous Power), signaling a roadmap for societal change as the RSS nears its 100-year milestone. These programs aim to mobilize workers to instill moral and cultural values, countering what the RSS often sees as Western materialism’s erosion of traditional ethics.
Senior RSS leaders, including Sah-Sarkaryavah Dr. Krishna Gopal and Vidya Bharati President D. Ramakrishna Rao, joined Bhagwat, underscoring the event’s importance. Held in Madhya Pradesh—a Sangh stronghold—the training camp reflects the RSS’s strategy to deepen its ideological footprint through education and grassroots action.
