Delhi Police arrested two men, Rehan alias Ikka (19) from Ghazipur and Md Sarver (20) from Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, for the brutal murder of a transperson, Karan alias Annu, in east Delhi’s Madhu Vihar. The victim’s body, bearing multiple stab wounds, was discovered on Monday in bushes near a drain at Telco T-point, sending shockwaves through the community.
Acting swiftly, the Crime Branch launched a late-night operation, conducting raids across Trans-Yamuna, Ghaziabad, and Meerut. Based on a tip-off, police set a trap near Laxmi Nagar Metro Station and apprehended the suspects around 1:00 am under the Shakarpur flyover. During interrogation, Rehan and Sarver confessed to the crime, revealing a chilling motive.
Rehan, who had been in a live-in relationship with Karan for four months, reportedly grew enraged over frequent disputes fueled by his financial demands. Feeling betrayed as Karan distanced herself, Rehan allegedly conspired with Sarver to lure her to a secluded spot near Telco T-point, where they stabbed her to death in a fit of possessiveness and revenge.
