The global launch of the Oppo Reno 16 Pro appears to be drawing closer after the smartphone was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing reveals several key specifications of the upcoming handset, including details about its processor, memory configuration, and operating system. The device, identified by model number CPH2863, is believed to be the global variant of the Oppo Reno 16 Pro, which is already available in the Chinese market as part of the Reno 16 series.
According to the Geekbench listing, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek chipset carrying the model designation MT6899. The processor features an octa-core architecture with one high-performance core clocked at 3.40GHz, three cores running at 3.20GHz, and four efficiency cores operating at 2.20GHz. While the benchmark listing does not officially name the processor, industry reports suggest the chipset could be the MediaTek Dimensity 8550, which is also used in the Chinese version of the Reno 16 Pro.
The benchmark data indicates that the handset is equipped with approximately 12GB of RAM, although the actual available memory is listed at around 11.18GB. Graphics processing is expected to be handled by the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU. The device was also listed running Android 16, making it one of the first upcoming smartphones expected to ship with Google's latest mobile operating system. Oppo is likely to layer its ColorOS 16 software interface on top of Android 16.

Performance figures published on Geekbench suggest a notable improvement over the standard Reno 16 model. The Oppo Reno 16 Pro recorded a single-core score of 1,575 points and a multi-core score of 5,889 points in Geekbench 6.7.1 testing. By comparison, the standard Reno 16, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, achieved scores of 1,240 and 3,994 points respectively.
The latest benchmark appearance follows several certification and regulatory listings that have surfaced in recent weeks, indicating that Oppo is preparing for an international rollout of the Reno 16 series. The standard Reno 16 has already been spotted on multiple certification platforms, suggesting that both smartphones are nearing launch in several global markets.
Industry reports indicate that Oppo could introduce the Reno 16 series in India as early as July 2, although the company has not yet officially confirmed the launch date. With benchmark listings now emerging for both models, expectations are growing that Oppo may soon announce the global availability, pricing, and complete specifications of the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro smartphones.
