Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi became India’s newest cricket sensation after a stunning performance in the U-19 World Cup final. He smashed a breathtaking 175 runs against England in a high-pressure match. His fearless batting helped India post a massive total. The knock showcased his talent and maturity beyond his age. India went on to win a record sixth U-19 World Cup title.
After his on-field heroics, Suryavanshi grabbed attention off the field as well. In the Indian dressing room, he celebrated by dancing joyfully to Bhojpuri songs. A video shared by his IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals, showed his fun side. He joked about switching from Punjabi to Bhojpuri music. His energy lit up the team celebrations.
Suryavanshi’s innings was packed with power and precision. He hit 15 fours and 15 sixes during his knock. Remarkably, he scored 151 runs off just 56 balls. He was eventually caught behind in the 26th over. India finished their innings at a huge 411 for 9.

England tried to chase the target with determination and spirit. Ben Dawkins scored 66, while Caleb Falconer played a brilliant knock of 115. Falconer fought till the end for his team. However, England was bowled out for 311 in 40.2 overs. India sealed a dominant 100-run victory.
Suryavanshi was named Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament. He finished the tournament with 439 runs in seven innings. Speaking after the match, he said he trusted his ability in big games. His performance marked a historic moment in U-19 cricket. The young batter has firmly announced his arrival on the global stage.
