Navi Mumbai will make history this December by hosting India’s first-ever FIA-grade Formula Night Street Race as part of the Indian Racing Festival (IRF) Finale. Organized by Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL), the event will feature top Indian and international racers competing on a newly designed 3.753-km street circuit with 14 turns. The race, set against the vibrant backdrop of Navi Mumbai, marks a significant milestone in India’s growing motorsport landscape, promising an exhilarating spectacle for fans.
The circuit, starting at the iconic Palm Beach Road, winds through the scenic boulevards and past Nerul Lake, offering a visually stunning and challenging track for drivers. The event will include a thrilling double-header weekend, showcasing the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC). On Saturday, RPPL signed a memorandum of understanding with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, formalizing plans for the circuit and event.
Chief Minister Fadnavis hailed the race as a “historic milestone” for Maharashtra, emphasizing its potential to boost tourism and create jobs. Akhilesh Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of RPPL, highlighted the unique atmosphere of a night race in Mumbai, stating, “This event will set a new benchmark for motorsport in India with a world-class FIA-grade street circuit.” The IRF has previously delivered successful street races in Hyderabad and Chennai, establishing a strong foundation for this ambitious venture.

The 2025 IRF season kicked off with rounds in Coimbatore and Chennai, with upcoming races scheduled in Coimbatore and Goa. The Navi Mumbai event is expected to draw significant crowds and elevate India’s profile in global motorsport, showcasing the country’s capability to host high-caliber international racing events.
