Pune-based racer Diana Pundole, aged 32, will become the first Indian woman to compete in a Ferrari during an international championship. She will pilot the Ferrari 296 Challenge in the Ferrari Club Challenge Middle East series, spanning November 2025 to April 2026. The high-performance vehicle, engineered for track dominance, features advanced aerodynamics and a twin-turbo V6 powertrain optimized for competitive racing.
The championship itinerary includes prestigious Formula One venues across the region, namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Pundole's participation marks a significant milestone for Indian motorsport, particularly in elevating female representation within elite single-make series governed by the iconic Italian marque.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Pundole stated that the opportunity represents an honour for herself and women in Indian motorsport.
