Sunil Ambekar, the Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), emphasized the need to strengthen Hindu society to address global conspiracies and distress. Speaking at a press conference in Nagpur to announce the RSS’s centenary celebrations, set to commence on Vijayadashmi, October 2, Ambekar linked recent international events to the organization’s mission of fostering a resilient India.
Ambekar referenced the ‘Gen Z’ protests in Nepal, which resulted in at least 72 deaths and the ousting of the K P Sharma Oli government amid allegations of corruption and a social media ban. He also noted the United States’ recent imposition of a 50% tariff on Indian exports and a new $100,000 fee for H-1B visa petitions submitted after September 21, 2025.
When asked about the RSS’s perspective on these developments and India’s foreign policy, Ambekar stated, “The entire India, including RSS, is working towards the progress and strengthening of the country, and certainly India should become so strong that no society in the world should face such distress.”
He further elaborated that the RSS aims to create a world free of distress by bolstering Hindu society, which he believes will counteract global conspiracies. “The Hindu society should be strengthened so that the world gets free from the conspiracies going on across the globe and the distress faced by the world,” Ambekar asserted, framing this as a core objective of the RSS.

As part of its centenary year, the RSS plans to organize ‘Hindu Sammelan’ gatherings at approximately 103,000 locations across India’s cities and villages. These events aim to promote cultural unity and reinforce the organization’s vision of a strong, cohesive society. The centenary celebrations mark a significant milestone for the RSS, founded in 1925, as it seeks to expand its influence and address contemporary global challenges through its ideological framework.
