Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday announced that centralised kitchens being established to provide nutritious breakfasts to students in government schools across the state will be inaugurated on December 9. He directed officials to complete construction and other works related to the kitchens by November 30 and asked authorities to make arrangements for students to visit the facilities.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to ensure that the kitchens are connected to the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Hyderabad for regular monitoring. He emphasised that the breakfast programme should focus on providing quality and nutritious food to students and said the initiative was intended to encourage children to attend school regularly.
Representatives of the Hare Krishna Foundation met Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence on Friday, during which two companies signed agreements with the foundation to support the breakfast scheme. Junna Solar Systems Private Limited and Chain Labs India Private Limited are collaborating to establish modern centralised community kitchens in Nagarkurnool and Vikarabad.
