The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party will hold its weekly "Mangal Milan" meeting on Tuesday at the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building, New Delhi. According to a notice circulated by the Bharatiya Janata Party's Parliament office, all NDA members from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been requested to attend the meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. The gathering comes at a crucial time as the government prepares to advance its legislative agenda during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

The strategy meeting assumes significance amid the Centre's efforts to secure support for key legislations, including the proposed anti-cheating law, while the Opposition plans to intensify its attack over allegations of police action against protesting students at Jantar Mantar. The discussion is expected to focus on floor coordination, debate strategy, and ensuring smooth passage of government business in both Houses of Parliament during the remaining session.

"Mangal Milan" is the rebranded version of the NDA's regular parliamentary strategy meeting, aimed at strengthening coordination among alliance partners and improving legislative planning. Besides discussing daily floor management, the meeting also provides a platform for distributing speaking responsibilities among MPs and ensuring that constituent parties present a unified stand on important national issues. Senior leaders from key NDA allies, including the Shiv Sena, Janata Dal (United), Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), and other regional parties, are expected to participate.

The Centre is also preparing to introduce several significant Bills during the Monsoon Session. These include the Income-tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026, the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026. Some of these legislations are intended to replace ordinances currently in force.

With Parliament witnessing frequent disruptions over political issues, the NDA leadership is expected to use the meeting to ensure better coordination among alliance MPs and formulate a common strategy for debates and legislative business. The outcome of the "Mangal Milan" meeting is likely to shape the ruling alliance's approach as it seeks to push key reforms while responding to Opposition criticism during the remainder of the Monsoon Session.
