Goa’s innovative ‘Goa Beyond Beaches’ campaign has clinched the Excellence Award at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) held in Gujarat, a state tourism official announced on Sunday. The award was presented at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar during the TTF, which wrapped up on Saturday.

State Tourism Director Kedar Naik expressed pride in the recognition, stating, “The ‘Goa Beyond Beaches’ campaign reflects our commitment to inclusive, sustainable, and diverse tourism.” The initiative aims to transform Goa into a year-round destination by highlighting its rich cultural, wellness, and community-based offerings.

The Goa Pavilion at TTF captivated attendees with its engaging displays, showcasing wellness and Ayurveda, spiritual journeys, adventure activities, monsoon tourism, and rural experiences. The pavilion also highlighted Goa’s vibrant festivals, including Chikhal Kalo, Sao Joao, Shigmo, Spirit of Goa, and Carnaval, which are drawing experiential travelers from across India.

Naik emphasized that the award affirms the tourism department’s efforts to promote sustainable tourism while celebrating Goa’s cultural heritage and community participation, positioning the state as a multifaceted travel destination.
