The Delhi Police's Special Cell has busted an alleged inter-state racket involved in forging and selling fake government identity documents through the website bkprint.in, officials said on Monday. Two accused, identified as Bideshi Saw and Santosh Kumar, were arrested from Daman and Diu and Patna, respectively, following an investigation by the Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit into the online sale of counterfeit government records.
According to the police, the accused allegedly used the website to produce and sell forged documents resembling official government-issued records in exchange for online payments. The fake documents included Aadhaar cards, voter identity cards, PAN-related documents, residence certificates, caste certificates, birth certificates, death certificates and other government document-like records. Investigators said the forged documents were designed to closely mimic genuine credentials, raising concerns over their potential misuse.
Police said the counterfeit documents could have been used for identity theft, impersonation, financial fraud, cheating and obtaining authentic government documents through fraudulent means. Officials added that the accused allegedly operated the website by asking customers to first recharge a digital wallet before placing orders, allowing payments to be processed online while concealing the identities of those running the operation.

The investigation began after the Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit, during routine cyber patrolling and social media monitoring, received information that forged government documents were being advertised and sold through the website. Acting on the intelligence, investigators conducted a technical analysis of the online platform and traced the alleged operators, leading to coordinated raids in Daman and Diu and Patna. The operation resulted in the arrest of the two suspects, who are now being questioned about the scale of the network and any possible associates.
Delhi Police said cyber-enabled document forgery poses a serious threat to public security as fake identity documents can be exploited for a range of criminal activities, including financial crimes, illegal access to government services and identity-based offences. Officials are examining the digital infrastructure used by the accused, including payment channels, customer records and online communication, to identify other individuals who may have been involved in the racket or benefited from the forged documents.
The case highlights the growing challenge posed by online platforms facilitating document forgery and identity fraud. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the operation, trace additional suspects and identify individuals who may have purchased or used the counterfeit documents. Authorities have urged the public to obtain government documents only through authorised channels and to report suspicious websites or online services offering fake identity records or certificates.
