Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday lauded the state’s flagship ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ program as a shining example of “governance in action,” transforming access to essential services by bringing them directly to citizens’ doorsteps. Launched in 2018 as ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar,’ the initiative has evolved into a robust platform for inclusive growth, reaching even the most remote and underserved communities.
In a post on X, Khandu revealed that over 1,051 camps have been organized under the program, benefiting more than 15 lakh citizens across Arunachal Pradesh. These camps have facilitated enrollment in welfare schemes and provided services like Aadhaar registration, e-Inner Line Permits, Schedule Tribe and residence certificates, driving licenses, and distribution of items under the Ujala Yojana. During the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, 26 mega camps significantly expanded the program’s reach.
Khandu emphasized the shift from a ‘pull’ model, where citizens had to seek services, to a ‘push’ model, where the government proactively delivers them. “The impact is visible as more people avail benefits, awareness of schemes grows, and inter-departmental collaboration strengthens,” he said. The initiative ensures 100% beneficiary coverage by educating citizens about eligibility and available programs, leaving no one behind.

The program’s success aligns with Arunachal’s broader development goals, reflected in its 135% GSDP growth since 2016 and a state budget increase from Rs 12,500 crore to over Rs 40,000 crore in 2025. By bridging the government-citizen gap, ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ sets a model for inclusive governance nationwide.
