Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu captured public attention on Friday by arriving at a pension disbursal event in an autorickshaw, a modest choice of transport that underscored his connection with the common citizen.
The event, part of the ‘NTR Bharosa’ welfare scheme, took place at Gudem Cheruvu village in Kadapa, aimed at supporting vulnerable groups such as the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities to ensure a dignified life.
Traveling from the helipad to the venue in the three-wheeler, Naidu’s arrival was described as “unique” in an official release. After the ride, he briefly sat beside the driver, posed for photographs, and paid the fare in cash before blessing the driver and addressing the gathering.
The ‘NTR Bharosa’ initiative reflects the state’s commitment to alleviating hardships for marginalized communities, reinforcing Naidu’s focus on inclusive welfare programs.
